Amy Carey, MSW, LICSWAmy earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/St. Katherine. Before beginning work as a psychotherapist, she worked for Rochester Public Schools and Olmsted County Adult Mental Health Services, and other social service organizations in the St. Cloud, MN area. She has training and experience utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Mindfulness Techniques.

Arlen Carey, Ph.D., LICSWArlen Carey earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida. He has practiced clinical social work in Florida, Louisiana, and Maine prior to moving to Minnesota. He is Director of the Trauma-Informed Clinical Master of Social Work Program at Winona State University. He has training and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Non-Directive Play Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, and Neurotherapy. He specializes in using a holistic approach to help people heal from trauma.

Bridget Skyhawk, MSW, LICSWBridget Skyhawk (she/her/hers) earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of New England. She has training and experience using nature-based therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness techniques, somatic techniques, and Neurotherapy. She specializes in working with people who have endured developmental trauma and incorporates social justice, creative arts, nature, and mindful movement in all her work. She has a special interest in working with people that have been marginalized because of oppressive systems such as patriarchy, racism, and the medical industrial complex. With a holistic neurophysiological trauma-focused approach, Bridget seeks to provide a safe and validating environment to heal the sequela of trauma and empower survivors to live their lives to the fullest extent.

Nicole de Vera, MSW, LICSWNicole earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from University of Denver. Prior to providing therapy services, Nicole advocated for children, families, and individuals struggling with intergenerational trauma and substance use issues. Nicole is trained in and practices several different modalities intended to treat symptoms of trauma, such as: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and movement/somatic techniques.
There is something important and meaningful that happens in therapy. Nicole honors this time with attentiveness, humor, and warmth. |
Shaylee Walsh, MSW, LGSWShaylee is a clinical trainee at AMAR Wellness. She earned her MSW in Clinical Social Work from Winona State University. She has training and experience in Somatic Interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Techniques, and Experiential Therapies (art, music, wilderness, movement, etc). Shaylee enjoys working with adolescents and adults. She meets individuals where they are at in developing a therapeutic relationship within the healing process. She approaches therapy with a trauma-informed lens, providing a safe environment on the therapeutic journey. Shaylee enjoys incorporating art and creativity into sessions and focusing on skills that resonate with each individual. Shaylee takes a gentle and collaborative approach to connecting with individuals in therapy. She feels grateful to be able to share these experiences with individuals in the healing process.

Cate Nelson, MSW, LGSWCate earned a MSW in Clinical Social Work from Winona State University. She has much experience advocating for adults with disabilities doing case management. Cate practices neurofeedback, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and experiential techniques such as art, movement, and play. Cate values her therapeutic relationships, treats clients with compassion and treats her time with each person as a valuable opportunity for mutual growth
